Every part of Montenegro has its own rhythm. A short guide to the regions before you start searching.
Montenegro is small, but its regions are very different. Before you search, it helps to think about how you want to use the property.
Budva and Bar
The liveliest part of the coast: beaches, restaurants and plenty of visitors in summer. A good choice if you plan seasonal rentals or want a town that is busy all year.
Bay of Kotor
Kotor, Tivat and Herceg Novi are calmer, with stone houses by the sea and marinas. Houses with bay views and apartments near Porto Montenegro are the most sought after here.
Podgorica
The capital, for year-round living and work. Central apartments let quickly on longer contracts.
The north
Žabljak and Kolašin mean mountains, skiing and nature. Stone and timber houses, plots with views of the peaks and a completely different pace.
